From first shuffle to the big stage

There is a road forward.

Start with your first game, grow through structured competition, and build toward serious regional and national play. You do not have to arrive experienced. You only have to be ready to learn.

Tournament placement matters, but team selection is never automatic. Preparation, reliability, sportsmanship, improvement, testing participation, and performance outside A Knight’s Table may all be considered.

The annual championship

The Hollow Crown

A Knight’s Table Annual Halloween Championship

Once each year, as the nights grow longer, the commanders of A Knight’s Table gather to compete for the Hollow Crown. Three rounds of Commander will determine the four players worthy of the championship table. Every dollar of tournament entry returns to the players as gift-card prizes—but only one commander will be crowned.

How the Crown is won

  • Three approximately 90-minute preliminary rounds
  • Four-player pods whenever attendance permits
  • Pod placement earns 5, 3, 2, or 1 standings points
  • Top four advance to the championship pod
  • Clear tiebreakers published before the first round
  • Casual Commander continues for others as space permits

Prize structure

20% of the total pool is divided equally among all preliminary pod winners. The remaining 80% becomes the championship-pod pool: 50% to first, 25% to second, and 12.5% each to third and fourth.
